As highlighted on the Prestige Online website in November last year, Anantara Spa launched a cannabis-infused treatment menu for the first time in Thailand. It featured rejuvenating rituals that made use of the healing properties of the cannabis plant known for its anti-inflammatory and restorative properties. Those planning to stay at Koh Samui resorts can enjoy this treatment option at the SHA Extra+ certified Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort; it’s also on offer at Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel and Anantara Chiang Mai Resort.
Cannabis was legalised for medicinal use in Thailand in 2018 and such alternative therapies provide an ideal opportunity to experience natural healing. This special treatment menu at Anantara Spa has three options including the Restful Slumber Journey which features a cannabis salt-laden bath, massages with cannabis-rice milk or cannabis-lavender oil and cannabis tea. The Cannabis Stress-Release Journey utilises a herbal compress ball infused with cannabis, while the Head to Toe Calming Journey incorporates a cannabis foot soak, a scalp massage with coconut oil infused with cannabis and the use of cannabis balm.
