Where travel meets tranquillity – a green escape at the heart of Singapore

Singapore’s Changi Airport has introduced yet another unique attraction for travellers and locals — the world’s first outdoor bamboo garden inside an airport. Named Bamboo Grove, this 526-square-metre sanctuary along the Changi Airport Connector draws inspiration from Kyoto’s renowned Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

Open 24 hours a day at no cost, the garden welcomes everyone, not just transit passengers. With winding stone paths, shaded seating corners, and tall bamboo varieties such as Golden, Black, and Buddha Bamboo, visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll, capture scenic moments, or simply relax in the open air.

Unlike other themed gardens at Changi, which are limited to transit passengers, Bamboo Grove offers a free, accessible retreat for all. For those extending their stay, pairing this serene stop with an affordable Singapore hotel offered by well-known brands such as Worldwide Hotels ensures a restful and memorable trip.
