China Shortens Quarantine Times in Eight Cities

According to people aware of the situation, China has decided to reduce the quarantine period for international travellers who have had close contact with infected individuals in eight cities, including Shanghai and Guangzhou. Meanwhile, the authorities are exploring potential adjustments to the country’s strict Covid procedures. The said cities are shortening the period to 10 days from 14 days as part of a month-long trial in April. Places that offer accommodation, apartments, retail outlets, and other closed locations due to the infection will be reopened following ten consecutive days without a positive test result, according to the people familiar with the matter. In other words, travellers can expect serviced suites like Pan Pacific Ningbo, a 5-star luxury Ningbo hotel, to welcome more visitors in the future
