As reported on Travelling Lifestyle on the 27th of September 2022, China has commenced plans for rebooting its tourism industry. While following a zero COVID policy, the country is now looking towards gradually easing its foreign travel restrictions to lodgings like Pan Pacific Suzhou. Therefore, many of the Suzhou hotel establishments can rejoice over the hope of welcoming foreign nationals to their accommodations.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism in China released a draft which stated that flexible entry and exit options will be provided for tour groups organised by border regions. Although no further news had been shared regarding its progress, China hopes to resume international flights between 2023-2025 as a part of its 14th 5-year plan of the civil aviation development strategy. Meanwhile, the country’s domestic tourism trend has witnessed a surge in numbers, where the country’s indigenous market for tourism is diversifying, catering to young families and Gen Z individuals.
