Cinnamon Grand Colombo Hosts Australian Cricket Team on Their Sri Lankan Tour

The cricket team of Australia concluded their Sri Lankan tour from June to July this year which included five one-day (50 overs a side) international matches including three in the nation’s commercial capital, Colombo. During their time in the city, the team was hosted at Cinnamon Grand Colombo a popular choice for touring cricket teams; the property is part of the Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts hospitality group which features some of the best places to stay in Sri Lanka in key destinations.

As mentioned on the Colombo Gazette website on 18th July 2022, the hotel thanked the Australian team for choosing them as a hospitality partner for their stay in Colombo which they enjoyed with their families too. Gratitude was also expressed for them visiting the country during a time of economic challenges, while the team members were gifted complimentary gift packs as a token of appreciation. The Australian cricketers also expressed their heartfelt thanks as batsman, Usman Khawaja, and bowler, Nathan Lyon, both highlighted the hospitality of Sir Lanka and Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
