Billed as the first travel bubble facility in the world, Connect@Changi in Singapore was expanded due to its increasing popularity; this was highlighted on the Outlook India website on 4th May 2021. The guestrooms now total 600, while there are 160 meeting rooms; these reflect four-fold increases from the original room and meeting venue numbers when the facility opened in February this year.
Fostering corporate travel, Singapore is continuing to encourage business travellers to use this facility that does not require them to spent time in a 14-day quarantine; instead, they can stay here and conduct business in special rooms that have been equipped with separate ventilation systems and air-tight glass panels to allow for face to face meetings with those from Singapore. The response has been positive with travellers from around the world already having used the facilities on offer.
