One of the most electrifying cities with many surprises for its enthusiastic visitors, Bangkok has many hidden gems when it comes to places of interest which were brought to light in a recent publication of Singapore’s, The Straits Times. The list included five places one could visit which were given as alternatives to the popular sites usually frequented by travellers. The first suggestion was to enjoy a river cruise along the Ko Kret Island instead of the generally preferred Chao Phraya River. Soi Rambuttri was recommended as an alternative to Khao San Road which generally attracts travellers on a budget. Renowned for its laidback ambience, Rambuttri is located within close proximity to few of the major Bangkok resorts in the city such as Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort. The list also included Wat Benchamabophit, a popular temple and a religious complex, instead of Wat Pho. Number four on the list suggested visiting Bang Krachao instead of Lumpini Park. The list concluded with an ideal choice to revel in the buzzing nightlife of the city, the Zoom rooftop bar instead of Sirocco Skybar.
