In a positive sign that is seeing regional travel slowly but surely picking up, flights from Doha to Abu Dhabi and Dubai were recently resumed. These direct flights were offered on Qatar Airways with the departure point being the Hamad International Airport; this popular airport hub is located within easy reach of Al Najada Doha Hotel by Tivoli and other such centrally located hotels in Doha, Qatar. The first flight to Abu Dhabi departed on 28th January 2021, while the flight to Dubai resumed one day earlier.
In January this year, the UAE announced it would be opening its borders (sea, land and air) with Qatar, while flights from Doha to Sharjah by Air Arabia were also resumed that month. Since Qatar is included in Abu Dhabi’s “green list” of destinations, those visiting the capital of the UAE or Dubai will not have to quarantine which is further encouragement for travellers.
