Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates has been leading the way in global tourism recovery. Additionally, Expo 2020 will launch here from 1st October 2021 and run till 31st March 2022 which is expected to draw more visitors to the UAE. Dubai, which does not require mandatory quarantine (depending on the country of arrival), has seen tourist numbers increase since reopening its borders in July last year. In fact, as per the statistics of the local Department of Tourism in July this year, the emirate recorded 3.7 million overnight visitors from July 2020 to May 2021.
From hotels and residences in Dubai to diverse attractions and thrilling activities, tourists have much to look forward to; this includes luxury accommodation at properties like Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort that offer safe stays as well. Among the key factors that have contributed to this emirate’s recovery include the effective containment of the pandemic, implementation of stringent health protocols and high vaccination rates.
