Between the period between January and May of 2022, the city has witnessed a surge in tourist arrivals with 6.17 million overnight visitors that arrived internationally, which depicts a 197% increase in comparison to tourist arrivals during the same period of the previous year. These recent statistics, posted on Gulf Today were a revelation made by the Department of Economy and Tourism of Dubai (DET) at their first city briefing for the year.
