Dubai has continued its remarkable tourism recovery following the pandemic and has witnessed a consistent increase in arrivals in 2023. According to the Department of Economy and Tourism, in the first quarter of this year, Dubai recorded 4.67 million international visitors which was a 17% growth when compared to the same period last year. This upward trend did not slow down either and by the end of June 2023, arrival numbers had, in fact, surpassed pre-pandemic levels.
As highlighted on the Bloomberg website in August 2023, from January to June, international visitors to Dubai reached 8.55 million; this was a 20% increase compared with the same period the year before and more than the 8.36 million travellers who were welcomed during the first half of 2019. Those heading to this cosmopolitan emirate can choose from a range of accommodation options as well be it a resort in Palm Jumeirah or a hotel in Business Bay, Dubai; such well-placed properties including the likes of Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel offer safe stays and a chance to enjoy the best of the city be it for business or leisure.
