Conducted under the broad theme of empowering the youth of Sri Lanka and helping them become globally competitive, the EDEX Expo held in Kandy drew large crowds over the course of the two days that it was held. Officially launched by Mr Tikiri Kobbakaduwa who was the Former Governor of the Central Province, the expo was open free to the public who had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with representatives from more than 200 foreign and local universities and academic institutes. Held from 30th to 31st January, 2015, this edition of the EDEX Expo was at the well known shopping mall and events venue known as the Kandy City Centre. Visitors wishing to stay at a Kandy hotel that offers easy access to this venue in order to attend similar events can consider The Secret Kandy. Apart from guidance and opportunities on higher studies, the expo also focused on career development and included career guidance seminars as well.
