School pupils in the UAE were given a half-term holiday in October, and in turn, families were given leeway to make up for the summer breaks they missed out on. However, with an ongoing pandemic, even with the presence of a vaccine, planning a holiday can be tricky. Although countries are easing out of travel restrictions, it takes a bit of effort to plan a holiday in these trying times. This isn’t much of a problem to those in the UAE as there are many destinations in close proximity with relaxed travel rules.
Armenia, Bahrain, Uganda, Seychelles, Turkey, Jordan, the Maldives, Georgia, Egypt, Cyprus, and Oman are eleven of the countries located five hours from the UAE where families can enjoy a vacation without quarantine rules. These countries also have excellent accommodation sectors endowed with the likes of Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, and food lovers are presented with a veritable paradise at Oman restaurants.
