Vietnam’s Hoi An has been named on the list of CNN Travel’s “13 of Asia’s most picturesque towns”; this is according to a September article published online by VietnamPlus. According to CNN Travel, Hoi An is a haven not only architecture lovers but for foodies and those who love photography too.
One of the key allures here is the historically rich Ancient Town which can be found within easy reach of hotels in Hoi An including properties the likes of Anantara Hoi An Resort. Highlights include its narrow streets home to age-old merchant houses, local dishes like banh mi and the silk lanterns that light up the town once night falls. Apart from Hoi An, other towns mentioned on the list were George Town (Malaysia), Galle (Sri Lanka), Phuket (Thailand) and Luang Prabang (Laos).
