Increase of Chinese Tourists to Angkor Wat

The Cambodian Ministry of Tourism says that it has observed a sharp increase of Chinese travelers to Angkor Wat, the country’s No.1 tourist attraction. If you’re spending your holiday in Cambodia, consider staying at the Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa, a premier boutique hotel Siem Reap, as it is located just approximately 10 minutes away from the monumental temple. The Angkor Wat Buddhist temple boasting superb Khmer architecture and built as a representation of Mount Meru, the home of the gods; is the largest religious monument in the world. Thus, it is no wonder that the Chinese is flocking to view this ancient architectural marvel. The Siem Reap Tourism Office says that the number of Chinese tourists to Angkor Wat had risen by an outstanding 14.87% within just the first eight months of this year to 208,180 which is followed by an increase in direct flights between China and Cambodia, as part of the Cambodian government’s successful effort to attract Chinese visitors.
