In March this year, India once more resumed international flights from and into the country paving the way for increased global travel and tourism. Before this, it had come into agreements with several well-known tourist destinations like the Maldives to set up travel bubbles; these offered hassle-free cross-border travel between both nations during the pandemic. However, now, such travel bubbles are no longer needed when it comes to departing or arriving in India.
It will be hoped that the easing of restrictions will boost tourism not only in India but countries like the Maldives which is a popular choice for Indians too. Such tourists can opt for luxury Maldives resorts on private islands; options include the likes of Heritance Aarah which offer premium all-inclusive packages, ideal opportunities for snorkelling and diving and stringent health and hygiene protocols ensuring safe stays.
