Indian EAM Dr Jaishankar Travels to Uganda and Mozambique

Dr Jaishankar, the Indian External Affairs Minister visited Uganda and Mozambique in mid-April to initiate more engagement between India and Africa. The long-standing relationship India has with Uganda and Mozambique resulted in many improvements to the infrastructure of both countries in electricity, agriculture, and fossil energy such as coal and natural gas.

Indian companies have contributed largely to the energy resources in Mozambique and helped strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries. For the delegates who visited the country, there were several Mozambique resorts that showcased warm hospitality, including Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort. The trip was followed by a trip to Latin America at the end of April, where he visited Guyana, Panama, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic.
