Figures from a recent survey carried out about the Tourism Industry of Thailand revealed that during the last 05 years, the number of Indian tourists arriving in Thailand has doubled and that there is a trend that this can grow by an average of 15% each year. The experts say that this can be a fruitful result of the implementation of useful strategies like the introduction of free visa-on-arrival and the opening up of over 3000 direct flights between destinations.
The most popular destinations among Indians include Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket and with the establishment of popular tourist resorts like Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, all visitors including Indians find it easy to find accommodation options that best suit their requirements. Every 5-star hotel in Chiang Mai has made their special packages to encourage MICE tourism and it is a fact that Indians also get largely benefitted by them.
