Japan and China to lift the ban on business travel

It was announced in Tokyo on the 20th of October that Japan and China have begun discussions to lift the ban on business travel between the two countries. Both Beijing and Tokyo have started approving short-term business trips and long-term expatriate holidays as long as the visitors can provide negative COVID19 PCR tests. As the two countries slowly return to normal life under the pandemic, domestic flights were the first to begin.

Tourists who hope to stay at hotels the likes of Grand Park Otaru can now start booking and looking for Hokkaido accommodation if they hope to spend the holidays in Japan. While guests can arrive from Beijing and the rest of China, Japan has further opened their doors to South Korea, Vietnam and Singapore. However, some quarantines will be in place for 14 days under these agreements.
