International travellers rejoice over Japan’s lifting of arrival caps and reintroduction of visa waivers. Effective from October 11th, Japan opens up for travel for the first time since April 2020. Individual travellers are now able to enter the country without having to book tours through an agency. Domestic travellers can also look forward to benefits and discounts on accommodation. Foreign travellers however will also have to submit a vaccination certificate in order to enter the country.
