Rising visitor numbers prove Japan’s travel appeal remains unstoppable.

Japan’s tourism momentum carried into mid-2025, with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) reporting a record 3.43 million foreign arrivals in July — the highest for that month in history. Despite typhoon disruptions and lingering earthquake concerns that slowed travel from Hong Kong and South Korea, overall tourism continued to expand.

A weaker yen and renewed confidence in travel have fuelled a surge in visitors from mainland China and the United States, with Chinese arrivals climbing over 25%. These travellers are drawn to Japan’s rich culture, culinary excellence, and refined hospitality experiences. Destinations such as Chatrium Niseko Japan exemplify the country’s commitment to comfort and style, while growing demand for quality Niseko accommodation highlights the region’s international appeal.

As Japan strengthens its infrastructure and enhances visitor safety, its position as a leading global destination remains firmly intact.
