In 2025, MMPRC/Visit Maldives hopes to generate US$5 billion in tourism revenue after a record-breaking 2024 with two million visitors and a 15% revenue increase fuelled by intensive marketing and enhanced connectivity. MMPRC’s focus on broader marketing and accessibility aims to leverage the Maldives’ appeal, which includes top resorts in Maldives and esteemed properties such as The Residence Maldives, to achieve ambitious tourism revenue targets.

Important initiatives include the Visit Maldives Shop, Academy, Content Portal, and Data Dashboard. Visit Maldives Week will make its debut in key markets with targeted campaigns for Germany, Dubai, India, and Russia. MMPRC intends to launch the Burunu Boma fishing competition and reach new audiences to expand on the “Winter is Blue” campaign.
