Maldives Celebrates 14.9% Increase in August Tourist Arrivals: Promising Numbers For Second Quarter of 2024

The Maldives has continued its strong growth in tourist arrivals, recording an impressive 14.9% increase in August 2024 compared to the same period last year. This positive trend is evidence of the Maldives’ unwavering appeal as a top-notch tourist destination.

The Ministry of Tourism attributed this growth to several factors, including the government’s ongoing efforts to promote the Maldives as a safe and attractive destination. The country’s unique coral beaches and clear seas continue to draw visitors from around the globe, in addition to its private islands and the best luxury Maldives resorts, which include acclaimed properties such as Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives.

This positive development is expected to further boost the Maldivian economy and create more employment opportunities in the tourism sector. The Maldives remains committed to providing exceptional experiences to its visitors while prioritising sustainable tourism practices.
