Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim revealed that the government is reviewing proposals from foreign investors to establish specialised hospitals for international patients. This initiative seeks to diversify the tourism sector, capitalising on the Maldives’ reputation for exclusive hospitality.
Some proposals envision full medical campuses with training facilities, while others plan to integrate medical services within resorts, offering travellers both healthcare and relaxation.
