The overwater city is expected to attract more visitors to the island with its main source of income being tourism.
The project will commence in January 2023 on a large scale and is expected to be completed in 4-5 years. Travellers visiting the island now can choose to stay in Maldives 4-star resorts or hotels located in the main cities, or accommodations such as Holiday Inn Kandoomathe Maldives which is located on a secluded and private island of its own.
