Maldives Invites Participation for MATTA 2024

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) has opened participation for MATTA 2024, catering to Malaysia and the Southeast Asian region from March 22-24, 2024. With limited opportunities available due to space constraints, Visit Maldives aims to position the Maldives as the preferred holiday destination in Southeast Asia, spotlighting its rich culture and heritage over the three-day event. Through engagement with key travel trade partners such as Saii Lagoon Maldives, the initiative aligns with strategies to bolster the Maldives’ brand and destination presence, while also emphasizing halal tourism to cater to specific traveller preferences and a unique Maldives experience.

The Malaysian market represents significant potential for the Maldives, ranking 26th as a source market in the previous year with 13,551 arrivals. Participation in MATTA offers a prime opportunity to enhance arrivals from this region and achieve substantial growth, further solidifying the Maldives’ position as a top destination in the Southeast Asian market.
