Maldives has reached a commendable success in its recovery of the tourism sector by surpassing 1 million arrivals to the island. The Ministry of Tourism reported that the arrivals have increased by 38% compared to last year and show a satisfactory growth in numbers. The greatest number of tourists were from India, followed by Russia and UK in the 2nd and 3rd place. An average of 4380 tourists are said to have visited Maldives this year which shows satisfactory growth and recovery after the pandemic.

Maldives has been a trending destination for relaxation and water sports. The resorts and villas have experienced a great demand in bookings this year. There are 164 resorts on the island, among which Kuramathi Maldives is a popular resort in Maldives chosen by most tourists for a fun and relaxing vacation.
