As the Maldives was one of the very few countries to re-open its boundaries for international tourists in the year 2020 itself, it has received a good number of travellers by the end of January 2021. This is considered a great achievement by the tourism authorities of the country.
All hotels and resorts such as Hard Rock Hotel Maldives are now accepting international guests and, all travellers are given the Emboodhoo Lagoon area guide and other similar guides depending on where they are holidaying, once they visit the hotels. Testing procedures are still happening upon arrival, and as there’s no quarantine measure in place, tests are also done randomly in between to ensure the safety of both tourists and locals. Tracing measures are also in place and these improve the trust and reliability that the travellers have when visiting the Maldives.
