You are touring Doha and being briefed by your guide on the amazing details of a historic piece. Would you have ever imagined that your friendly guide was once an Olympic champion? Pia Sundstedt was a professional cyclist for about 15 years. Although her home country is Finland, she and her husband live in Qatar today and absolutely love it. Once moving to Doha, Pia submitted her application for tour guide training and here she is today, enthusiastic about what she does. The former athlete still finds time to cycle and keep up with her fitness regime amongst her new work.
If you are on a business trip and lodged at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, make sure you site visit after your meeting in Doha. You might just meet a professional Olympic medalist as your guide.
