Namibia Lifts All Travel Bans and Restrictions

While the globe is gradually easing into a post-COVID-19 era, most countries have been in the process of relaxing entry requirements for foreign and domestic travellers, although a majority have not yet completely removed such constraints. However, the Government of Namibia, as of 25th August 2022 has made the bold move of lifting all COVID-19-related restrictions in the country, a positive note for Windhoek hotels and lodgings of other regions. Therefore, travellers who hope to take refuge in Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino and other accommodation options will be able to enter the country, hassle-free.

The most recent update on COVID-19 states that travellers are no longer required to present proof of vaccination on arrival. As reported on Crisis 24, the negative PCR report that is required by most countries in the absence of a vaccination certificate is no longer necessary as well. However, restrictions could be reimposed by authorities if further developments to the virus are to take place in future.
