Nature Tourism for Families to Be Promoted in Malaysia – A New Post-Pandemic Strategy

Family-friendly nature tourism will be promoted in Malaysia following the pandemic; this was according to the country’s Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, who was quoted by The Star Online news website on 3rd August 2021. Speaking at the signing ceremony and official announcement of the Escape Cameron Highlands project, she said that such nature-based tourism will become a trend mainly due to the pandemic; she added that Malaysia was in a unique position to tap into this market since it was a destination with great natural beauty that caters to families as well.

A nature-based adventure park, Escape Cameron Highlands is scheduled to launch in 2023 and is expected to draw more interest in the nation’s eco-tourism sector. Of course, the country already has many existing natural attractions to visit such as the Orchid Garden Kuching and Bako National Park within easy reach of Citadines Uplands Kuching. Those staying at such a centrally located serviced apartment Kuching has to offer can plan excursions to the Kubah National Park and Semenggoh Nature Reserve too.
