Oxalis, the expedition organizer was granted permission to conduct tours to the Va and Nuoc Nut caves by the Central Province of Quang Binh, early in June. The Va and Nuoc Nut caves are a part of the Phong Nha – Ke Bang cavern system.. According to the Vietnamese government website, the caves were explored by the British Cave Research Association in 2000. A typical tour of the caves will last 2 days and one night where visitors will get to trek through 10 kilometers of mountain and jungle sites while also wading through a river for 3 kilometers.
