A new hotel in the Maamunagau Island was announced by the InterContinental Hotels Group. The hotel group signed a management agreement with Hotel Properties Limited for the opening of the new 83 room resort in Maldives which is the third resort to be opened under the partnership. The Singapore based property developer also owns the 160 room Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives and the Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu.
The new property in the Maamunagau Island, on the southern point of the Raa Atoll, features a beach and a lagoon along with an all-day dining venue, a bar, restaurants and the Planet Trekkers Kids Club for children. The resort also features a pool, Club Lounge, spa and an array of watersports. InterContinental Hotel Group is due to open 13 more resorts within the next five years.
