This lavish metropolis, with many a 5 star hotel Abu Dhabi has to offer, such as the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara is renowned for the indulgent lifestyles of its inhabitants. These new regulations will incur penalties such as heavy fines and the impounding of vehicles. Reckless driving for example will result in a fine of Dh.2000, 23 black points, and a 60-day impounding of the vehicle. People caught driving under the influence will have their license suspended for a year. Heavy vehicle drivers, should they commit any sort of violation, will have their license suspended for an entire year and receive a fine of Dh.3000. They are also required to undergo further training once they regain their license.
