On New Year’s Eve, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) presented the largest-ever New Year Countdown Celebrations with the theme “New Year, New Legend.” The countdown event, which took place on December 31st, featured the largest fireworks display in size and the longest duration. This spectacular celebration aimed to captivate the local public and viewers around the world.
Dane Cheng, Executive Director of the HKTB, highlighted that the Hong Kong New Year Countdown Celebrations are renowned as one of Asia’s most captivating events. It had garnered widespread media coverage globally and attracted large crowds. This year’s festivities, including an East-meets-West musical, were expected to draw significant attendance, creating a memorable experience for both locals and visitors ringing in 2024. Visitors from Cosmo Hotel Hong Kong and many a Hong Kong boutique hotel gathered to witness this amazing display.
