Niyama Maldives Launches Skydiving Experiences – Unique Thrills in the Maldives

Adrenaline-junkies heading to the Maldives have the chance to experience an exhilarating activity unlike any other; launched in May this year, Niyama Private Islands Maldives is offering guests a chance to try tandem skydiving in this Indian Ocean nation. When it comes to activities at resorts, Maldives skydiving is truly unique and can be enjoyed in a safe environment in the Dhaalu Atoll.

The experience begins at Dhaalu Airport on a nearby island, around seven minutes away by speedboat. After a briefing, participants board a plane that makes a 20-minute ascent; since this is a tandem experience, they will be strapped to a seasoned skydiver who will make the jump with them. The descent from 12,000 feet includes a one-minute freefall with speeds reaching up to 200 km an hour; after the parachute is deployed, it takes approximately five minutes to reach the ground and during this time, participants can take in more stunning views.
