Despite the anticipated economic slowdown in Qatar, air travel between Thailand and Qatar remains in usual operation according to the director of Suvarnabhumi airport of the Airport of Thailand Public Company. With five daily flights from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport to Doha airport, finance permanent secretary of Thailand commented that Thailand would not be affected by the existing situation in Qatar. Those planning on visiting Thailand and on the lookout for accommodation can consider Sukhumvit hotels in Bangkok including options such as Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. However, the reports reveal that shipment of goods from Thailand to Qatar by land would be impossible due Saudi’s severing of diplomatic ties with Qatar. According to the reports, the flights are expected to be routed directly to Doha port and the delivery of goods by air to Qatar expects to remain usual.
