The National carrier of Oman, the Oman Air resumed its service to Maldives on the 18th of October. The new flights will fly between both countries’s Capitals, Muscat to Male and have been scheduled operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The flight time between the two destinations is four hours and the first flight departed from Oman at 08:50 and landed in Maldives at 13.30 local time. The commercial airliner further stated that they have deployed the new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircrafts on this service route, since these crafts have been designed to deliver exceptional performance, efficiency and flexibility. These aircrafts have been configured with 162 seats and which the economy has 150 seats and 12 seats in Business class. The new flights would also increase the tourist footfall to Maldives, which will in turn be good news for Maldives resorts of popular resort chains the likes of Adaaran Resorts Maldives.
