In a move which will see widespread growth and development take shape, the Governor of Phuket recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Officer of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission. Therefore Phuket will aim to become the first province in Thailand to be free of all forms of corruption; an evil that has threatened its very existence as a popular tourist hub in the region. The Secretary-General of the Commission went onto say that Phuket aims to take firm action to lower the risk of bribery and corruption and thus transform the region for the betterment of all.
