Information has been revealed that there is an attempt to construct a cable-car network in Sigiriya for the convenience of the visitors arriving at Sigiriya. It was also reported that the plan is an initiative of the central cultural fund with the collaboration of a Chinese firm. Reliable sources also state that studies were also conducted on the site for around three days there are a lot of grey areas that have not been revealed to the public and due to unknown reasons the authorities are not ready to give media answers. It is worth noting that Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is by law a protected site.
