Plan to Expand and Commercialize Male International Airport

The airport also known as the Malé International Airport is located in the Hulhulé Island near the capital Malé and serves as the main gateway to the Maldives for tourists. The Maldives Airports Co. is carrying out this project with the hopes of increasing tourist arrivals to the country to more than five million in 2018 from one million in 2013.
