Strengthening cross-border travel with expanded Caribbean connectivity

Porter Airlines is broadening its winter network with a new direct service linking Toronto Pearson International Airport to Nassau, providing Canadians easier access to one of the Caribbean’s most popular holiday spots. The new daily flights begin on 12 December, followed by nonstop routes from Ottawa on 13 December and Montreal on 5 February, further enhancing Canada’s links to The Bahamas.

The seasonal expansion increases options for travellers seeking warmer destinations and is expected to support tourism growth in both countries. Local businesses in Nassau—from beachfront restaurants to boutique hotels—may also see higher visitor footfall as accessibility improves. Travellers heading out of Toronto can pair their trip with comfortable stays at properties such as Pan Pacific Toronto, a well-known and preferred Toronto luxury hotel, known for its convenience for international departures.

Porter will operate the route using its Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, offering two-by-two seating and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi for a smoother travel experience.
