Sri Lanka is an island with so much to offer when it comes to tourism with many aspects like culture, history and hospitality to be noticed significantly. Unfortunately, in the past, the country has not been advertised for the hidden gems it has. Now, Sri Lanka Tourism has invested in an extensive marketing campaign to make the island grow brighter and even more appealing on the map.
Sri Lanka Tourism plans to take the campaign forward by reaching out to target markets through online marketing, trade shows, sponsorship activities, special events and international public relations. Since the awareness programs began, the island has certainly seen an improvement in interest for travel in Sri Lanka by the target markets. It has been noted that foreign travellers are also looking for experiences at hotels near Colombo the likes of Pegasus Reef.
