Qatar Becomes the Host of the 78th International Air Transport Association Annual General Meeting (IATA AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS)

The 78th International Air Transport Association Annual General Meeting (IATA AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) are set to take place from the 19th to the 21st of June 2022 in Doha, Qatar. Following a global gathering of top aviation leaders in 2014, this will be the 2nd time that such an international encounter takes place in the country, this time hosted by Qatar Airways. The AGM is sure to fill up lodgings like Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli where invitees will be able to engage in some much-needed recreation at the comforts of a Qatar spa massage, following the busy schedules set up for the events.

The original venue of the event was to be Shanghai, China but was changed due to strict COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the country in contrary to the relaxed restrictions of Qatar. The event is expected to create a platform of gathering for top aviation personnel, the aviation value chain and governments.
