Qatar was closed to international travel for so long but they have now issued an updated set of COVID 19 guidelines to which all travellers (including international ones) should adhere. According to this new document, Qatar maintains a list of countries under two main categories, namely the Green and Red. Based on the risk conditions, a list of Exceptional Red is also available. Although the new set of guidelines has allowed any citizen to go out of the country, returning to Qatar has been made conditionally restricted.
Some of the best hotels in Qatar the likes of Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli have already started welcoming guests and, likely, they are mostly domestic holidaymakers until now. These properties have good hopes for the 2022 FIFA World Cup as this mega event will attract many travellers from all around the world, thereby increasing bookings and revenue for the hospitality sector.
