On 6th October 2021, Qatar revised its official Travel and Return Policy which offers detailed guidance for returning citizens, residents as well as tourists. The guidelines and policies are based on the classifications of countries (categorised as Green, Red and Exceptional Red) based on the risk factors and the epidemiology of COVID-19. A salient point to note is that subject to an exception of fully vaccinated citizens returning from a Green List country, all passengers must sign an Undertaking and Acknowledgement Form before arriving in Qatar. Additionally, fully vaccinated travellers arriving from a country on the Green List, do not have to quarantine on entry.
The revised policy is great news for the travel and tourism industry. Local hotels, resorts and restaurants have made a great effort to respond to the announcement and are adapting continuously to keep up with ongoing updates. As such, restaurants in Doha, Qatar, at hotels such as Al Najada Doha Hotel by Tivoli have made the safety and comfort of patrons their priority. Travellers can dine at some of the best restaurants with total peace of mind since these establishments adhere to the precautionary measures and safety standards as recommended by the government of Qatar.
