With the resumption of the Test & Go programme in Thailand, fully vaccinated travellers can enjoy quarantine-free getaways to destinations like the island of Koh Samui; resort options here that are SHA Plus+ certified including Santiburi Koh Samui offer safe accommodation along with Test & Go packages for such tourists; these come with the country’s entry requirements in mind and feature a one-time RT-PCR Test for day one and an antigen test kit to be used on day five.
While the Test & Go programme resumed in February this year, the country has subsequently been easing restrictions to encourage more travellers to visit. Amongst the updated requirements, was the reduction of the mandatory minimum health insurance coverage for tourists from USD 50,000 to USD 20,000 on 1st March 2022; a month later, on 1st April, the required negative result of a COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken before a tourist arrived in Thailand was scrapped as well.
