The regional wing of Singapore Airlines SilkAir commenced flying to Male, Maldives with its maiden flight on 26 October 2015. SilkAir now flies to 49 destinations in 13 countries with the new addition to Male. The airline will fly four times a week to Male from Singapore on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with return flights from Male on the same days. SilkAir will be utilising an Airbus A320 aircraft with passenger cabins for both business and economy class. SilkAir’s new service to Male is expected to compliment Singapore Airlines’ current daily flights to Male together offering a total of two flights daily between Singapore and Male. Maldives is famous for its luxury abodes and mesmerising secluded island getaways with popular hotel chains offering hospitality services such as PER AQUUM Niyama, a sophisticated all inclusive Maldives resort.
