Singapore Airlines Seeks Framework for Australia Travel Bubble – Clear Procedures Needed

Before a Singapore-Australia travel bubble is launched, the needed framework needs to be in place; this is the sentiment of Singapore Airlines mirrored by its regional vice-president for Australia and the southwest Pacific, Louis Arul. Speaking in June this year, he highlighted the need for processes to be agreed upon; these included aspects like comprehensive procedures, vaccination passports and steps in case locally transmitted infections are detected.

This proposed travel bubble came into the spotlight in June 2021, following a visit by Scott Morrison, the Prime Minister of Australia to Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of Singapore.
