In September this year, Time Out published its annual list of the best cities in the world, chosen according to the Time Out Index survey along with input from Time Out editors and other local experts. Singapore, ranked 24th, was amongst the destinations that made it to this coveted list that also revealed an interesting fact; it was also voted as the world’s cleanest and greenest city.
The green spaces amidst urban development were mentioned as another key feature of Singapore. As highlighted on the Time Out website, Singaporeans have additionally been spending more time outdoors following the pandemic engaged in various activities; these included kayaking, hiking, longboarding and visiting hidden or abandoned sites.
